Hi Gang,

I have been trying to get to my Yahoo Mail via wireless and Netfront33 on the Jornada 728 and am having problems. Just wondering if anyone else has been successful and if so what settings I use for success.

Background- I can login after dismissing several certificate screens and after bypassing the statements about my browser needing to be updated. It lets me get to its "classic" view. But when I click on the My Mail pick a Netfront screen comes up wanting storage information and there I get hung no matter what options I pick. It eventually tells me there is insufficient space and states that the size is 1234567890.

Any suggestions? Thanks

PS I could post a screen snap if that would help.......

I don't know if this applies to you or not, but if you're a premium Yahoo! Mail user (or if you have AT&T broadband which provides premium access) you have pop3 & smtp access to your Yahoo! email.

No, haven't tried Opera w/RedGear yet, but am on the verge. Mother told me not to ever buy the first version of anything...

I don't have POP3 service with yahoo.

For what's it worth, I was just able to access my Yahoo webmail with Redgear/Opera. Both Yahoo Mobile and full version.

I forgot about YPOPs!, which acts as a free POP3/SMTP proxy for your Yahoo! mail. You run it locally on a desktop machine and then point your email application on your device (or any place really) to that desktop machine as the pop3/smtp server. A friend of mine uses YPOPs! with Thunderbird. It might be worth a try if you're still having issues accessing the webmail interface or if you actually prefer to use an email client and not rely on the browser.

mscdex: I don't have POP3 access for Yahoo, so don't know where that helps this situation(??)

I am trying to sort out the browser part, if someone has a solution, but will keep it in mind.

For my other account I use qmail3 on the J and it works fine.

Thanks,
Hal

YPOPs! gives you free POP and SMTP access to your Yahoo account You install it on your desktop (or any Windows) machine, and then in the server settings in qmail3, npopuk, or any other client you use the IP address of your desktop machine as the pop3 and smtp server.

If you are a non-premium yahoo mail user and want free pop3/smtp access, yes. however you wouldn't need it left on 24/7

Result: NF3.0 allows me to read/compose/send email from Yahoo basic, so that takes care of my needs, for now.
Thanks for the input.
