Is NEC S1424-17 stylus compatible with MP900(C)?

S1424-17 is original for NEC MobilePro 450 H/PC. I'm wondering if it's also compatible with MP900(C).

Maybe, it's like the one on MP800 that barely stays in MP900's slot.

Actually the stylus for the MP200/400 series is the same diameter as that for the 7X0 series, but the clip/stop protrusion on the end is slightly different. You can use them with the 770-790/800-880 fine, but not the other way around...i.e. the 780 stylus doesn't quite fit in the 400 slot perfectly...close however.

Same holds true for the 3rd party replacement from STYLISOURCE It is a perfect replacement for the 7X0 series stylii.

Or some people simply cut a thin slice of paper and stick in the stylus receiver to reduce the bore so that 780 stylus fits tightly in the 900.

The stylus for the Mobilepro 7X0/8X0 HPCs works great with the 900 series if you make a simple fix...

Just take a 1cm piece of common black plastic electrical tape and apply it to the end where the clip/stop protrusion is. It fits flatly along the barrel and makes the stylus fit perfectly within the 900. Here is one that I have taped for use with the 900. You can't even see the tape...
