I am sorry if this question has been asked before.

I have tried to read the Netbook Pro User's Guide and other threads a few times for the steps in performing a hard reset, however, I still don't know how to do it.

Could anyone here please advise in simple language the step by step correct procedures/methods in peforming a hard reset for the Netbook Pro.

Thank you very much.

Tom

I think you press and hold the Ctrl, D, and On keys simultaneously. When the boot loader appears, press the ! (exclamation mark) key.

Or maybe 10 minutes with no batteries in it whatsoever?

Check this thread as well for other issues that may come into play, such as the NB Pro's persistent registry and what appear to be a secondary set of backup batteries soldered to a PCB:

(BTW, I keep forgetting to post a pic of those soldered-in batteries, as requested by cmonex. Hopefully I'll remember tonight when I get home. )
