After about 2 weeks of problems with drivers to my Netgear MA401 card, I finnaly managed to make it 'working', well actually I supposed so. The card detects a few networks, including mine (Router - Netgear WNR2000).

I have setup all options:
- Encryption: WEP
- Authentication: WPA-PSK
- and a valid network key

but when I try to connect, in 'Status' it shows <Associating with NETGEAR...>, and then <Failed to associate with NETGEAR>.

After about 4 attempts to connect a window pops-up:

Winows CE Networking

'DHCP was unable to obtain an IP address. If the netcard is removable, then you can remove/reinsert it to have DHCP make another attempt to obtain an IP address for it. Otherwise, you can statically assign an address.'

Does anybody know how to solve this problem?

My Firmware Version is: CMONEX v2.0
Build Datect 28 2007
PIC Firmware ID: 4.19.7
Bootloader Version: 4.10

probably a wep issue, are you trying to use the passphrase? If so, don't. Use the hex key.

which driver are you using? you can also try hardcoding the IP if it is actually a DHCP issue

I'm using the PRISM driver.

As for hardcoding the IP, can you give me straight instructions on how I do it, because I have complately no experiance in this issue (changing IPs, Macs etc.).

OK, I got the internet working fine with non-secured network (I've made my network an open one for about 2 minutes).

Then now, my question is: is there any way to use secured networks?

Edit:

BTW is there any Firefox that works fine on 4.2 CE?

In answer to the last question: No, not yet anyway. Right now you have to install Linux on an H/PC to be able to use Firefox.
