| i have noticed alot of Jornada posts lately
after 1 year of my jornada 728 gathering dust in a box , i got it working again
i got a wifi card (impulse buy from ebay - wasnt even sure if it would work on windows CE ) and thanks to the HCL here it was installed within 2 minutes
i have a problem with ministumbler when i run it , it says ministumbler has generated an error and will close
anyone have any ideas | |

| You probably have the wrong version of ministumbler. Try this one instead.

| thans RTFM , works perfectly
EDIT: do you know of a portscanner that works
that would turn the jornada in to a compact audit device

| You could try vxUtil. The port scanner is pretty basic, but it works.

Lots of other jornada software on my site 720.b0x.com also.

| I see another satisfied customer using Ministumbler. But again, when I run this version on my J728 I get "Application MiniStumbler.exe has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down...", so guess something in my system setup is conflicting????
I tried the HPC2000 versions noted in another thread with the same (neg)result, including from the MiniStumbler site. Oh well, maybe I will stick with Agere.

| HP's original plan was to develop a SmartCard that could be used for secure logins on the device; however, that plan never became reality. | |

| Yep and WR-smartcard is more a "Proof of concept", the program offers only to read and copy the content of a card(mainly some SIM Cards that can be read but apparently not all). | |
