Greetings all,
I have just purchased the 64MB memory module for my Compaq Aero. Unfortunately, Windows only shows support for 32MB of it. Is there something I'm missing, or could it be a problem with the memory?

Thanks,
Darkknight.

DarkKnight, where did you get the memory from? I bought the 32mb module from EdgeTech and it worked fine; however, my Aero wouldn't read a 64mb module pulled from a unit with a cracked screen. I've wondered if there was a problem with the ram or if my Aero just didn't like the 64mb. But it's supposed to support 64.

The memory I bought was from the PC Memory Store. It's Edge Tech 64MB, PC100 - (PCMS239577).

Follow-up: Thanks to y'all tipping me off that it was a hardware problem and not a driver or BIOS update that I was missing, I contacted Edge Tech/Corp. It turns out that the Compaq Aero requires 8X density chips, and they sent me 16X. So, they'll be sending me replacements in a day or so.

Thanks for all the help.
