| Is the hinged slot on the underside of the Jornada 702 and 728 able to be used for I/O or is the slot only able to be used for memory extension?
I would like to use a Compact Flash Wifi card in this hinged CF slot but I don't want to buy one only to find that the Wifi must come through the PCMCIA slot on the left side below the keyboard.

| As far as I know you could use a compact flash WiFi card in there but then you wouldn't be able to close the trapdoor with the WiFi card inside.

| Also, if you loaded any programs to your CF storage card, they will not be accessable with the wifi-cf in place inthe hinged CF slot on the bottom. So all wifi programs and s/w should be loaded to main memory. You could get a CF to PC Card adapter (usually $5-7 on the bay) and use it in the L-PC Card slot and not have to fiddle with what program is where. | |
