Old concept, looking for new solutions

Used a 720 bare for quite a bit. Minor scratches on the display.

Wondering what people are using these days for screen protectors on the 720?

Considering using two ppc protectors cut to fit but I'm worried the seam will be a mess.

Ideas?

i don't use any on it, the screen can withstand my stylus usage just fine.

Played too much solitaire on this 720 during my disabled days. Don't want to repeat that mistake on my other 720 I'm going to start using.

Got a screen protector on my pawn shop Intermec and it won't break down or mark badly. I wish I knew what it was. It's the most amazing material I've seen.

Not to pry, WallyT, but I thought you were liquidating your collection and moving to a netbook or umpc?........

Yep, those are the plans. Sell it all but I don't want to mark anything more up if I can help it before then.

If anything, he may find it difficult to completely walk away from his HPCs......you don't know how much you appreciate instant-on until you don't have it anymore.

A few years ago, I bought a Nushield screen protector for my husband's laptop. He didn't like it because it was too glossy. (He likes to use his laptop near a south facing window.) So I cut it up and made a bunch of NEC 900, Sig3, and Jornada 728 sized ones. They still look like I just installed them yesterday. Nushield is tough! It does not seem to interfere with screen sensitivity either. Also, the gloss tends to make the screen appear sharper.

I've said it before, but I just buy the clear acetate document protectors and cut them into rectangles using a paper cutter....they work fine, and last as long as anything you can buy...ends up costing less than a buck for 4-5 of them.

Guess it's moot maybe. Working on donating most of my hpcs for a charitable tax receipt so if that happens they can worry about the screens.
