I think I'm gonna have to watch the first 5 episodes again. If not the whole season. So many things going on in it.

Watching "Black Summer" on Netflix. Excellent, scarey as crap, post apocolyptic zombie series.

Finished HANNA this week. Good stuff, especially since two lead actors are from THE KILLING, a grim show I was very fond of.

HANNA is only lightly sci-fi; on the other hand, I'm dating her.

Everybody GoT the popcorn ready to go? (see what I did there?)

In my head I'm going to wait and binge watch them... but I might not be strong enough (I did it for series 7 mind). Just need to avoid all spoilers (and Maisy Williams apparently ).

How likely is it to be as forgettable as the last 5?

I like the game, I wonder how that movie will turn out.

The funny thing is, I go to Walmart and check out the toy section at times looking for something for my 9 yo. Every single time I go, ALL the Force Awakens toys are STILL there. It's been two years, and it doesn't look like much of the stock they have has gone anywhere. All the other toys come and go, but the Star Wars toys (except the black series "classic" toys) gather dust.

Star Wars used to fly off the shelves, now it's just one big mess ruined by SJW's and identity politics. Same with Star Trek. Ugh. (But Star Trek could have been good if they'd have stuck with the Shenzou and its captain forgoing Michael and all that nonsense.)

Right now, I'm just rewatching all the old Married with Children episodes. No Ma'am!

I agree about Discovery.

If you want to talk about SJW re-education. Look no further than Doctor Who.

I avoid Dr. Who, which is a shame as the older shows are pretty fun to watch.

It's frankly terrible, so I don't blame you. The world moved on and they insist on writing like it's still the 1970's and "simpler times". Deus ex machina is the only plot device that the writers have ever understood. all the answers are automatically known and every problem can be solved by waving a screw driver.

If they had allowed it to grow up, as they attempted to do unsuccessfully in 1996, it could have been quite something, well ahead of its time with the likes of the BSG reboot. Instead it's immature irreverent fantasy, with not so much hint of any credible science fiction... and that was before the SJW elites got hold of it.

I was quite happy that they gave the role to Jodie Whittaker... I just wish they could have been capable of writing something for her to work with.

That's my same gripe about Discovery. I like Sonequa Martin-Green, but they (directors) totally butchered her character. They should have stuck with the Shenzhou and Captain Lorca and kept it "Trek" instead of trying to push their nonsense.

You mean Spock's little sister but shhh, it's a secret. A spore drive that no one ever re-looks at and the Klingon's just decided wasn't relevant and has nothing to do with the Star Trek universe what so ever and could have jumped Voyager's crew home in one hit. "Time crystals" ... so that's a thing. Also, it's supposed to be a thing that the Klingon's have and never again used. Section 31, which was a terrible trope that shouldn't have been allowed to happen in old Trek, let alone becoming a plot staple the bastard children Enterprise and Discovery. The introduction of Borg technology? Pifft. Introduction of the mirror universe, again; this time derailing canon.

Like I've said. I turned off. Just like I did with Doctor Who.
