Make CF Card Primary Storage for Downloads?

I've got a Psion Netbook Pro that's great for surfing internet. However, I want to make my 4 GB Cf card the primary storage for large downloads, since the sys mem is too small. Is this possible? It's ce 4.2. Thanks.
