Jornada720: how to get sftp client (ssh + ftp) ?

Mindterm is java. No idea to get it running. I dont like installing too much on jornada.

Could it be sthg programed in C or C++ and run without exe file for installation ?

Isnt there a sourceforge for jornada and open source programs ?

thx

I'm not sure, but may be you can use vxHPCPlus and vxFTP together to do it:
http://www.cambridgevx.com/

And PLEASE do not dredge up threads to try and get attention. It won't get you anywhere. It is stated in the forum rules.

Hi, congratulations, you just dredged up a thread that is three years old having just started your own post on the same subject.

nice moderation

well, since there was no reply from the person, I reactivated this thread. well isnt it better to have one thread and solve the topic, to gather all information into one thread.

but my demo is finished
and it asked for registration...

Isnt it some free code made by coders. I mean that machine is so old, that we should try to code in C and get into sourceforge one day.
this machine is so old, so if we need programs we 'll have to make it ourself, using linux lines (no X but windows ce)
make svn/trunk and so on
I know there is this : http://www.hpcfactor.com/forums/forums/forum-view.asp?fid=44
but that's not enough.

Oh well, by all means by my guest, you write the C code for it and add it to source forge.

However, if that isn't in your skillset, I guess you'll have to buy the license, because I'm not programming it for you

well, if we had, something like this : http://www.cygwin.com/ with just the minimum to compile and code, I could make exe for jornada 720 windows CE environment for you... My windows XP laptop is full of exe own made based on linux.

Before even attempting the cygwin route, you should know there has been progress in porting linux software to CE some years back. Go here to see what's available. An SSH client is included on that page as well (but no sftp). If you need a version of that SSH client for CE 2.0 go here.

Edit: The first link also includes stunnel which you could use to tunnel a regular FTP connection through SSH to get your SFTP.

Edit 2: You may be able to run some sort of Perl sftp client. To find out how to build the latest version of Perl for CE, look here. If you don't wish to build (newer versions may have better support however) Perl manually, there is a much older version available in binary form here (Perl 5.8.2).
