| first time I have seen one of these in the wild for sale (and about £60 cheaper then the jointech units on ebay ).
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Mini-BIDE-NETBOOK-PC-Mini-PC-Notebook-Laptop-Wifi_W0QQitemZ290288577922QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLaptops_Nov05?hash=item290288577922&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1300%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318
don't belive VGA-out but spec looks fine otherwise. the label on bottom in photos says PC-703 firstview's site mentioned CDMA and GPRS etc. available through optional express card (so there may be a spare slot somewhere inside these ).

| One thing strange about that auction is that the description is talking about the Eee PC. Also, I've never heard of "Jade" processors before (yes I know it says it is ARM-based, but I'm assuming Jade is the manufacturer). It is disappointing to see a few things about the specs. Firstly, there is both no battery information and the processor is clocked in at only 300MHz. Secondly, the touchpad buttons are on opposite sides of the touchpad. Thirdly, maybe it's just me but I'd still like to have a touchscreen, and have the screen swivel around and fold back too. Maybe that's asking too much, but I do think that the price is very nice though, especially with free shipping from China.

Since when have they been rolling out Eee PCs with Windows CE 5?
I think the one below has already been mentioned here:
http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.18355
Free shipping for that one too. |

Maybe you should send the seller a message asking just that |

| You've lost me. Where, then, are they talking about the Eee PC in the description? |

Look under the "Product Features" section in that eBay auction.
Also, that dealextreme link... I like how they incorrectly labelled that netbook as a "UMPC" Also that netbook has less memory and a slightly slower CPU clock speed. Edited by mscdex 2009-01-12 9:02 PM

| I belive the xburst cpu machines are slower (unless it is an arm one).
The battery is a 1600mah I think (look at the photo it is easilly readable if you zoom in).
Jade Z228 is a know System on chip which brings in an Arm 9 core and a GPU.
Again I am still waiting for cortex machines personally but this is the first of this type I have seen on ebay, the keyboard looks quite nice and it is quite a bit cheaper than the jointech machines that have turned up on ebay.
And the fact (if it is the same inside as the firstview) there should be a free express port in it somewhere I think it is certainly a device worth at least mentioning here.

The OEM recently announced 400mhz xscale's in place of the ingenic Mips thing.
Not sure if the razorbook were ARM from start or if they did non-arm ones to start with.
