| well from what I have seen trowling around looking for info on putting linux on the j7xx machines, is that if you use konqueror on opie, it actually runs pretty darn swell, and is compatible with modern webpages. | |

| I just installed linux (jLime) on my Jornada 728. The OS is much more complex and reads data from a CF (while CE most part reads from RAM). It makes linux a little slower than CE. But for browsing, I was surprised! It can render complex pages much faster than the built-in IE4 and even faster than NetFront 3.3. Minimo and Firefox are the best options and I can now have a full browsing experience using them on my Jornada 728. Maybe the good experience Im having is because of the 64MB of RAM that Jornada 728 has. I think that 720 users will not have that great experience, but they should try also. | |
