Help, please!

My office has upgraded their wireless security to WPA (not WEP). My Aironet card worked fine until the upgrade.

After researching. I found that there is a 2.60 driver that surports WPA, the one I was using, 2.40.03, does not.

I uninstalled 2.40.03, did a soft reset and installed 2.60. Even though I installed 2.60 the actual version that is installed is my old 2.40.03.

Any ideas on how to get my Jornada to accept this new driver instead of, somehow, reverting to the original driver?

Thanks,

George

sorry but the OS has to support WPA, it's not enough if the driver does. so, as hpc2000 doesn't know WPA it will never work for you

Okay, thanks for that information.

Still curious why the upgraded software won't install. Any ideas?

It's a unibuild update, adding improved support for CE 4.2 devices and PPC2003 devices. The H/PC version has had little changed in it. 4/12/2003 is the HPC2000 build date.

Thanks for that info.

Someone else had told me that I need to do a hard reset to get the new version to hold. It seems that this will be to no avail!

Thanks again.
