Okay... I downgraded from Cmonex 2.0 to HPC 2000 as normal. However, my bootloader now says: "<2.1"
Pardon this, but what in this hell happened?

I guess few people downgrade CE 4.2 to 3.0.

Blazeman, don't worry about the bootloader...it is still 4.1, that is just how it shows up under HPC 2000 after the downgrade. There are two downgrade optons to go from CE.NET 4.2 to HPC 2000.

Option 1 is to just downgrade the OS to HPC2000, which is what you did, and it will report the bootloader version incorrectly, but doesn't affect a thing.

Option 2 is to downgrade both the OS and the bootloader, reinstalling the HPC bootloader. Nothing really to be gained doing this except the reporting is okay, but then you will have to reinstall the bootloader again if you ever decide to upgrade again.

Great, thanks! I downgraded for a trip where I needed to play AVI's and time was crunched. TCPMP doesn't play AVI's without criticaly crashing the os of 4.2 requiring a hard-reset. Anyone have a player they use for 4.2? I am upgrading back to it now.

Since when? I play AVIs on HPC Media Player (which is a version of TCPMP) on my Netbook Pro (also CE 4.2 .net) without a problem.

Nice to be able to downgrade and upgrade on the fly in any event.

Like CE Geek, I routinely watch AVI videos on my MP900 (and NBP) using HPC Media Player. It is available on this site.

Okay, maybe I had a problem with something else conflicting with the player.
