| You'll need Linux to make an ext partition, try some LiveCD editions or DamnSmallLinux. | |

| I used Paragon Partition Manager to format the ext2 partition in Windows. There might be some free software similar to it out there, but I haven't looked. | |

| Hello,
In the meantime, I have another question: how can I partition my 32GB CF card into 4 eight-Gig partitions so that they are readable and accessible via the Jornada?
In advance, thanks for your help.

| Hello again,
thanks a lot for this quick answer.
Actually, I have 2 Jornada (one with Windows CE and one which I intend to use with Linux) and 2 CF 32Gb and would also like to partition & format the second in FAT (so as to use it with Windows CE).
Do you have a solution for this card?
Have a good day.

| I use Ubuntu (Ubuntu.com) copied to a CD and booted as a "LiveCD" from there. You need an "iso" copier and not just create a "data" disk when you're making the LiveCD...see the details on Ubuntu. It has GUI interfaces for selecting the CF, setting the partitions, and adding respective systems to the partitions. BUT, be careful you are working with the CF in your PC Card slot or card reader and don't accidently blow away your PC hard disk, as I did once...stay focused. Probably time to clean house, anyway.
