Morning to all,
I have a big problem and I need your help.
I have a Medion MD95900 navigator with Windows CE .NET 4.2 .
I have modified him so I get the Windows Desktop and can start the windows taskbar and the other original software.

Then I tried to install the acrobat reader and/or microsoft reader ?
The installation was ok but the reader did not work.
When I started the new software the following message appears:
Cannot find 'Acrobat Reader or msreader' (or one of its component). Make sure the path and filename are correct and that all the required libraries are available'

I've copied some missing DLL's ( aygsehell, mfcce300, doclist and gx ) I found in the net ( packDLL.zip and packDLLxania.zip ) on a French site but it did not work on my Windows CE .NET 4.2 !!

Now the error Messages appears say : Acrobat Reader is not a Windows CE Version, but it is. Same with the microsoft reader.

Do you have some idea what's wrong ? Do you have the DLL's for my Windows Version ?
Where is the cmd.exe file to use the copy command in a ... .bat file ?

concerning your dll's, you might have to try and install Adobe Reader for your device. the WinCE 4.2 is very close to PocketPC Windows Mobile 2003 (first edition) so you might have to find a device that has WM2003 and copy some files over from that.

i'm not sure that (copying the original ppc dlls) would work... or would it?

File required is to be found at,

http://www.active-soccer.co.uk/showtaskbar.exe

first you will need to connect your PNA to your desktop using the activesync software that came on one of the disks. once this is done use the explore function in activesync to see the files and folders on your PNA. go to:

WINDOWS\STARTUP and paste the "showtaskbar.exe" file from the zip to the startup folder.

this allows you to view the underlaying operating system on your pna. once this is done do a soft reset (use the pen to press in the pin on the top) and once restarted you will see the windows task bar.

Hope this works for you.

I have the same problem as DieterT, only I get the error on 95% of all software I wanna install. This is on a hacked Medion 240 navigation device.
It feels like Win CE, which the navigator applications runs on top of, is not complete some how.

can anyone help?
