IIRC I used to be able to play them fine. Will double check later and see if they still work.

Slaycarter, install FlashPlayer7 from hpcmonex.net, there are some important instructions and execheck the flash.dll.

Then you will be able to play videos from YouTube, but that would be like a slideshow. You can though buffer thewhole video and play it from cahed files with TCPMP.

Put the flash dll in the windows directory and register it from there without a path with regserv in same dir...

I had issues when it was in macromedia directory for some reason.

Don't remember it being like a slideshow though.

hmmm there was some rumblings of you tube changing flash version...

I will check it on my Sig3 over weekend

John

PS google adobe flash test and go into the adobe site that tests flash and shockwave (if the flash doesn't display then flash.dll is not working if it does then youtube has moved to requirements of a later version of flash...

Test page doesn't work. I tried also on NEC 900c and it doesn't work either. Maybe I did something wrong when installing flash player?

Was registering the flash.dll successfull when you did it from Win dir with regserv in win directory?

If it did

Soft re-set then try the flash test page

I put flash.dll in windows directory (before I renamed the one already there), then copied regsrv in windows directory and in the box promped written flash.dll and it said it was registered corrrectly.

Maybe error was made before. Execheck said me that flash.dll was for 4.2 OS so I changed it to 4.1 than istruction in flash7.zip saysit needs better cellcore.dll and says to rename it in coredl2.dll. I did it. But in my case it asked also for a missing aygshell.dll. I put it into windows and were no error again.

Maybe the error is here.

This issue is getting more and more annoyng.

I am traying to get back and reinstall everything but now execheck keeps telling that can't find coredll.dll. So, I copy one into windows dir but a message pops up telling that can't overwrite the existing one. I swear, I search high and low but there is no coredll.dll. How can it says there is one?

By the way, show hidden files options it is checked.

I reinstalled everything from scratch and this is the result.

After soft-reset I loaded a video on youtube and it has showed me, but it was snappy. Adobe flash test page instead doesn't work.

Closed Opera and then launched again it and on youtube again but this time I have the video box but not playing and a message saying to upgrade flash player.

Any suggestion?

Tried again and adobe flash page works for me...

Is the issue opera? didn't think flash worked on 8.6???

Other option is something I downloaded for Smartbook which was a WM utility for tcpmp and allowed most youtube vids to be opened in tcpmp (except ones not hosted on youtube). Will have a quick look and see if it will work on Sig3.

Adobe falsh page worked.

But I can't see videos yet. Opera on Sigmarion is 8.2 but somehow it won't work on PIE either. With PIE it opens WMP and then it says that was not able to connect.

Any suggestion?

What about Wm utility for tcmp?
