Recording problem

Hello guys, i found a j720 in the trashcan and the thing is working, no problem. What i wanna do is use it to record when i play with my band. I tried it out and it sounds very good to my ears, the thing is that it seems to playback a bit faster then it should, like an old tapedeck so, i was wondering if you got some suggestions like other software that works on the jornada 720?

I might add that when i record with the gsm codec the pitch is fine! I would also like to have adjustable recording level. I´ve searched but i can´t find any software that let me do this!
