A strange problem ? can not download file from PC to HPC use LAN SYNC

My HPC : NEC MGR730F using 3com 3c589c pcmcia card ,

I d/l the drivers from this web site and it works :-) and I fill the WINS setting of
HPC & PC using host pc ip address follow the articals said.

that is the status:

Active sync icon turns green and the HPC shown linked

I can upload the file from HPC to pc correctly , but I can not d/l the file to the HPC? The copy progress halted on the begining ?

Which version of Windows are you connecting to here 95, 98, 2000, XP etc

& are you seeing the error outlined here: CESD-S-0072

MY hpc running HPC PRO operation
and I use XP pc for sync host
I read the artical you link to me . stop the index server in XP host
but still can not copy file to hpc
and I find a win98 pc to sync my nec 730f , it also can not copy the file
to my client., maybe something setting wrong with my hpc set ,where is it?

Is it giving you a specific error message each time?

When you type the UNC address into Explorer on the HPC (e.g. \\server\path) what are you typing. Are you logging into the PC, and have you got the necessary permissions on the share to access the file.

Lastly what is the file and how big is it?

it seem the HPC not allow the host pc to access its storage
when install the soft from activesync it said "no enough space of the storage"
but copy file to the hpc using explorer no messenger appear, just forder turn
blank several minutes later?
I did not know how to set the correct permission to allow PC to access its storage?
my operation system is HPC PRO ,WINS set to 192.168.0.1
my host pc IP is 192.168.0.1.

In the system applet in Control panel, try increasing the memory allocation, perhaps the file copy is a cache issue.

On XP you need to go into the place where you shared the folder originally. Then you have to click permission.
Make sure that the account you are logging into the network share is listed along with Full Control.
