Probably a stupid question - I have an unbranded HPC running CE6. It shows my network but will not connect to it. Any suggestions?

What kind of security/encryption do you have on your network? If it isn't open, try it that way. Otherwise, I'll differ to the networking gurus here.

On some of these new CE netbooks, WiFi is turned off by default to save battery power. Is there a WiFi icon on the desktop, or WiFi shortcut in the Start Menu, or WiFi applet in the Control Panel?

Mine does that too sometimes. (I haven't figured out why either. )

I encountered a similar yet puzzling problem: I just finished an 'internal' WiFi mod to Samsung SWL-2610C on my NetBook Pro with Summit adapter. It worked fine, got the right IP, and connected to Internet. Then, most of the time, I can't connect to the net though it gets correct IP. Soft reset does not help. It may be due to the driver. Both Rich and I used the same driver successfully on MP900C.
