Neta 980 Battery Problem

Hi Wise Ones!

I left my neta 980 off charger for a month and the battery has depleted. When I plug in the charger, recalibrate the touchscreen, and check the power item in the control panel I am able to see the main battery is installed and charging. However, leaving it charging for a few hours still does not give it any juice to keep the Neta powered when I yank the power cord. The battery was holding 2.5 hours before I left it off the charger. Besides doing a cell re-build does anyone know of any other methods that I may revive this battery? Alternatively, if anyone knows the pinout of the battery I am willing to bypass the unit for charging and charge directly from AC/DC adapter to home-made plug adapter to battery pins.
