Upgrading os on nec790

I have a nec 790 mobile pro it has windows mobile 3.0 2000 and i am want int to put something a little more up to date and i want to know 1 what i could put on it and 2 how would i go about doing it and 3 if i don't have a sync cable can i still do it and how would i go about doing it

the specs are 168 MHz processor
32mb ram
40mb Rom

is there any body who may be able to give me some guidance

Wow, WM3 custom ROM.

No, there are no upgrades available, the ROM chip of 790 is an upgrade for MP880 instead.

A lot of Pocket PC 2000 programs will work if they include MIPS versions. They'll usually need a few Pocket PC DLL files, though. Fortunately, cmonex hosts those DLL files on her site:

http://www.hpcmonex.net/izemize.htm

Be sure to download Executability Check there as well. This will tell you which DLL files a program needs.
