| Greetings all,
I am just weighing in to see about using the IRD beaming feature on a MobilePro 900C. I noticed that the native (in-OS) contacts application makes a provision for beaming data to another appropriate device. So, I tried beaming from one MP900C to another MP 900C - no success. Any special secrets I am missing?
Thanks in advance for any advice.
Best regards,

| Don't have a 900C and don't know what OS you're using, but have you tested your IR ports against a IrDA-compatible phone, computer, etc. to see if the testing device can pick up your 900C's? Even if you can't properly connect to testing device, you should get some sort of acknowledgment that the two are trying to talk to each other.

Using Infrared within Contacts
Using infrared transfer to send and receive a file within Contacts requires the
selection of the “Windows CE Handheld PC” option for each Microsoft®
Windows® CE .NET system. | |

| Greetings.
Thank you, Jake and Richard, for responding to thos quesyion.
I quote:
"Using infrared transfer to send and receive a file within Contacts requires the
selection of the “Windows CE Handheld PC” option for each Microsoft®
Windows® CE .NET system"
So, is this a manual setting within the OS (CE.Net 4.2 in this case) of the HPC? Or would this be on the host PC
during an Activesync scenario?
Thanks,
