I found a cheap Mobilepro 770 on ebay, so I bought it, and while I was looking around online for a replacement stylus, I stumbled across this: http://www.alancomputech.com/336-450032-a1.html

I notice on this website in the support section it doesn't mention a CE 3.0 upgrade being available. So what do you think, is that a CE 3.0 upgrade that would work, wouldn't work, or is it simply a mislabeled 2.11 ROM?

EDIT: I might have posted this in the wrong section, if any of the moderators feel it should be moved to HPC discussion, feel free to move it.

It is not CE 3.0...misleading....it is Windows CE 2.11 with HPC Professional 3.0....very misleading.

Funny thing is they have another 770 ROM on the site that is labeled 2.11. Makes me wonder why they'd include both?

The vast majority of people int eh world don't understand the relationship between CE and Platforms based upon CE. This is just another example.

There is no route to CE3 or HPC2000 for the 770.

Another one of Alancomputech errors. The ROM module for the 780 will not work in the 770. They have the item identification labelled incorrectly. The ad that says 770 780 ROM should be 780 only. While they are physically interchangeable, the clock speed of 168mHz for the 780 makes it inoperative with the slower 770's clock speed.

Alright. Well, I guess while we're on the subject of compatibility errors, will the 880 stylus fit in the slot on the 770?
