With lower prices recently, I bit the bullet last week and bought a Sandisk Extreme III 32GB for my Jornada 728. I had problems with other brands where 16gb was showing as only 8gb usable, but have never had a problem with Sandisk through 16gb, so took the risk. I am happy to report that it shows the "full" 32gb available. See the "Properties" pic. I copied 12gb from my 16gb CF to it (took 3 hrs via USB and PCMCIA adapters), but all seems to work well.

Why bother with 32gb? I converted a bunch of video clips using Catylist and like to take them on the road and this expands the available collection.

I submitted an enrty in the HCL for this 32gb Sandisk.

Hope this helps someone!

Hal

Nice catch, Hal. It's in the HCL now.

Not wasting any time filling up the card, I see - already .000005% full.

Nice

FAT32 on a 32GB volume... I hope you have a good backup policy (or install a redundant FAT onto it)

Anyway, we've finally reached the upper limit of FAT32.

If Microsoft's formatting limits have anything to do with it, yeah
