Greetings all,
Been a little while but glad to be back.
Here's my simple query: I have an NEC MobilePro 900C (WIN CE-Net 4.2) connected wirelessly via an Orinoco Silver PC Card (Lucent Tech. brand).
I connect at home just fine. Wireless service at my employment (via university I.T. services for faculty) is requiring my MAC address.
There is one stamped on the back of the Orinoco card - am I correct in presuming that this is the correct no. to use (I could not find a native one on the NEC, nor a place in the OS that one would readily find it)?

Thank you for the consideration.
Regards,
DLC

You might log on to your home network and then go into the wireless router control panel and check to see what mac address is being reported from your Moiblepro there and verify that it is the same as the one printed on your wifi card.

Almost certainoly the MAC on the sticker will be the one on the card.

For it not to be would require a rather unethical past history

But is it ever possible that the card was damaged or reflashed or something and is reporting a different MAC address?

This tool shows MAC, but it requires .NET CF 1.0. I think you can install both for a time to get a real MAC.
