Moved to Windows CE 2.11 H/PC Pro Support

The Jornada 680 is a CE 2.11 device, not a CE 3 device. If you were sold it as a CE3 device, it was missold.

C:Amie, I followed the instructions in the link that you posted, but when I dialed out I got an error message "No carrier detected verify phone number". Any suggestions? thanks

The most common reason for this error is that the device couldn't find a dial-tone. Did you install and correctly specify your modem during the wizard?

I inserted my extra PCMCIA fax modem into the pc card slot and selected it during the wizard, so I am assuming it is installed correctly. Is there anything else I need to do to it. Thanks

Nope, that should be it.
If you pick up the handset when you hit the 'connect' button, do you hear the modem squark?

Very well, a good start.

When you double tap on your Dial-up entry in Remote Networking, on the right hand side at the top will be "Phone:"

Is that number correct, or has it been prefixed by a "9," an exra "0" or is it completly wrong?

The number on the device reads T120618702770020. The correct access number is 870-277-0020.
