Netbook pro hard reset issue

Hi,
I have recently hard resetted my Netbook pro and noticed something strange.

After the reboot every program was gone but in control panel/remove program app there were still all the voices of installed programs even though subfolder were not anymore.
Also my email account were still there and I think also some registry entry.

At this point I assume hard reset was not performed as due. Is this normal?

You've just crossed over into . . . the Persistent Registry Zone!

Yes, this is normal on the NB Pro, as well as many other later devices with a persistent registry. There've been several threads addressing this issue on the NB Pro; search using the keywords "Netbook Pro hard reset" and you'll find several of them.
