After searching for many hours/days to gain access to my PC's Gmail, I finally
came across http://www.mail2web.com/. I know it has been around a relatively
long time, just did not know it seems to be the ONLY google-mail downloader
for the HP 720/728.
The question: Is there an even better www site to use for gMail?
http://www.google.com/pda doesn't do it!
Thanks,
JLS

That's awesome!
Thanks very much for your tip, but I still prefer to use my nPOPuk to access my GMail inbox.

The problem is that nPOPuk is only useful near your PC, is that not true?
I mean, can you use nPOPuk in a hotspot or unknown wifi area?

JLS

PS I am trying to use gMail both on my Jornadas and on a PalmT/X
(Palm 5.4.9)

nPOPuk is not a HPC<->PC email sync application. It talks directly to the email servers over your HPC's network connection.

That's right. nPopuk is like a outlook express for HPC. Just enter in your gmail account and look in configurations for POP3 mail. You will find there the pop address and port configurations. Put the same configuration on nPopuk and you are ready to go. You just need to connect to internet (using wifi, 3G, dialup, whatever) and starts npopuk and it will download all your emails. By the way, I'm on my jornada right now writing this message and just opened nPopuk to see my emails. It's much much faster than any browser http website because it only downloads the message and you can even read them offline if you want.

Getting help from another forum, I discovered a setup feature that is VITAL if you
don't want to get an SSL error.
On the POP3 tab click the "setup" to the right of the SSL checkbox.

In the "Set SSL" dialog that pops up, uncheck the "Verify the server
certificates" option check box.

This solved my problem altogether!! Wow!

also, if you want to use http browser anyway, just get RedGer (it's free now) and Opera 8.65. It works flawlessly (I'm using it right now) and you can open you gmail either mobile and html version. Just tipe m.gmail.com on your Opera address bar and hit ENTER. After loading you email in mobile version, if you want a more sophisticated option, just go to the end of the page and click on "html version". Full Gmail on your Jornada screen

Redgear is now free?!

I don't see any means of downloading it (free or paid) on Alpaxo's website. Are you sure. There is nothing in their forum announcements since February. I hope you are right :-)
