Hi.

My Jornada 720 screen produces a whistle noise, when on.
I also can hear the noise, when using headphones.

Does anyboda have a solution for this problem?
Is there a way to switch off the screen without powering down the device?

It goes to standby when you press the off button. Ce device only turn off when there is no power avaialble (in your case the device will wipe if that happens)

Is there a way to turn off the screen without turning off music?

It should do this by default after the music has played for a short time:

See the instructions on the above page, however, if it doesn't.

That's tricky. Dimming your screen still won't help with the noise.

It might if the power supplied to the screen is producing the noise, and if the display is turned off completely while the audio player program runs.

Is the option "turn off screen" only available with battery power?
My batteries are not not that good, so I am running on AC Power all the time.
Where's da setting for AC?

If you want to turn the screen off on a 700 series, simply press and hold the Alt Key and then press the Calendar quick launch button. The screen will power down but the devices processor will still be active.
