Hi everybody!

Due to the fact that at certain moments one might need to connect multiple accessories via the PC Card slot I was wondering on how it would be possible to do that. So I came accross some pcmcia extenders shown at:
http://www.twinind.com/subcategory/pcmcia-extender-cards
http://www.elandigitalsystems.com/accessories/index.php
but the prices look quite prohibitive.
I was also considering tinkering myself such an extender by using a cheap or damaged pc card and one or two dual slot laptop s/h cages wired together, but I have no idea about type and lenght of cables to be used. I presume that using ordinary wires I might end with an uncomfortable thick bunch of cables difficult to be phisically handled. Also wires carrying pulses might cause unwanted electromagnetic induction effects to other wires, but afterall the professional pcb extenders mentioned above did face the same problem and solved it. Is this something to really worry about?
I am fully aware that connecting multiple pcmcia cards simultaneously would drain the battery a lot. What would be the typically pcmcia card current consumption? I expect something in the range of 80-100mA, is this correct?
If this would work, than building such an extender for the CF card slot would also be interesting, because would allow with a few inches lenght of loose cable to have multiple CF cards placed and connected on the side or at the back of the Jornada.

Does somebody have any experience with such adapters/extenders he can share on this forum?
