So , all the software that run at the J720 will run on the Nec900 ? is it what you want to say ? l thinking in exchange a J720 to a Nec 900 . would you say to me what is the main advantages between the units
yep 99% of them will work. my experience.
if some of them won't, download mfcce211.dll and olece211.dll, they're required for some hpc pro
(ce 2.11
) apps. the j720 includes these dll's by default, the 900 doesn't.
hm, advantages.. the 900 is newer
(should last for a longer time if you buy a perfect unit..
), has a faster cpu and usb host but you can utilize the usb fully only if you upgrade the OS to ce.net 4.2. this will still be compatible with 90% of the hpc2000 software.
(again, you need to install the above dlls and additionally the hpc versions of mfcce300.dll and olece300.dll
(NOT the ppc versions
), sometimes toolhelp.dll, and some other dlls also.
)
disadvantage: none that i can think of now. maybe size
(and weight
) could pose a problem for you if you want something more pocketable, it's two times bigger than the j720. my comparison pics can be found here:
