| I participated in a discussion over on microsoft.public.handheldpc regarding the HPC's midnight wakeup/events reminders. As you experienced users know, there is a potential for the machine to not go back to sleep after performing its necessary functions. However, let's say it does. If you have an all day event scheduled, the machine will still blink the green light as a reminder after going into sleep mode. It is possible for this blink to eventually drain the battery and require a soft reset. Either the latter just happened, or my J720 failed to return to sleep last night. The sleep problem can't be corrected, but if the blinking green light drained the battery (over a roughly 7 hour period, say), is there a way to prevent this? I couldn't find an option to disable the light for reminders, but am I just missing it?
One of these days I'll learn to save before closing my clamshell!
Thanks, | |
