| Would it be possible to sync a CE 1 device using CE services on a laptop running Windows XP? |

| Chris,
CESDC0031 link on that page takes users to Win95/98 and IR, rather than "Using Handheld PC Explorer and ActiveSync 3.8 together under Windows 2000, XP or 2003"
Unless my browser's askew,

| Yes, it directed me to the wrong place also. Are you referring to the CESDC0002 article in answering my question? Will that method work with IrDA?

| Sorry for double post. When I said CE Services, I actually meant HPC Explorer 1.1. Will that work? |

| Yes. I can't remember the specifics, but C:Amie figured out a way to do it. You might search the tutorials for the actual CESDC0031. C:Amie's obviously asleep now, but he should look at this thread tomorrow.

| Jake,
Thanks for reporting. It's fixed now.
If you want to learn about using H/PCex and XP, read CESDC0021. |

| I think I'll do it with Windows 95 instead, my friend is giving me an old IBM laptop (magnesium, heck yeah!) running 95 so that I can do syncs and stuff with my old devices more easily and without using my mom's old laptop. Also C: Amie, in CESDC0020, it says "farewells applications" the second time instead of "firewall applications" just so you know. |

| If a farewells application doesn't sum up the world of CE, then I don't know what does
