So where does one go to find a replacement. I've been surfing eBay and haven't seen any for a while. That is where I purchased a couple earlier this year. I bought it from a seller with the eBay name of chrisma-09 from Hong Kong.

These netbook batteries are Lithium Polymer and pretty simple in nature. In the pictures below, I took the one I purchased apart to show you how it is constructed.

It consistes of (2) 3.7VDC batteries wired in series with a simple charging circuit. The actual individual cells carry the number PL4030160. This number indicated the relative size of the cell. It is 4mm thick by 30mm wide by 160mm long. They have actually improved in capacity since my battery was made, and you can see some info on it here: http://www.shun-wo.com/en/product_detail_1532.html

This is a link to another similar type battery and you can see how the numbers match the size. I imagine that I could actually get two of these batteries and wire them in series to do the same thing, though it would a lesser capacity: http://cgi.ebay.com/3-7V-1500mAh-lithium-battery-Polymer-Ipod-Mp3-GPS-/220739972864?pt=US_Batteries&hash=item336520af00

If you had to, you could use any number of batteries to do what you wanted. Here is a link to an eBay sale for a GPS battery that would be very easy to wire in series, http://cgi.ebay.com/Li-Po-Lithium-Polymer-Battery-3-7V-2000mAh-MP4-MP5-/290435287419?pt=US_Batteries&hash=item439f4ac97b

And while I don't know the size of this one, electronically, it appears to be a match for what I have. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rt=nc&nma=true&item=270613525906&si=HcUeM1cRXPfaMYh%252BilLUgAuSTXc%253D&viewitem=

Any the pics below...my battery, then opened up with the shrinkwrap sleeve removed, and a picture showing the circuit board.

I'm confused.
do you need to find a match for this battery or is this the one you're using for the replacement?

this is for your netbooks?

wondering out loud, how are these chinese made lions going to last? many chinese nimhs are junk, no life and substandard capacity....I

does sanyo make lions? I think probably they do, they made IMO the best nicads and really good nimhs.
