| I think the wifi hardware in the 700 and 900 is different, but I'm interested to hear if 2.2 will play nice with all your built-ins. I tried 1.5 which ignored most of my 900.

| I am using this new Android build on the Eee now and have a little update... 2.3.5 is a lot better. Wi-Fi works a lot better. No issues with the keyboard or mouse. Boots pretty quickly. Overall a nic RC |

| Okay, I was going to buy a Aser Aspire One for my wife from a co-worker. She has decided against it. However, I have it for the weekend and I have and will continue to test "stuff" and interestingly enough I tried the Android build for the Eee and it worked great. I guess it may work well for any Atom based PC? It sure works great with this one!!! Really fast... |

| it's all very interesting but aren't you stuck with the default apps? I mean all the Android apps won't work on x86 right? At least not until there is an official x86 android and commercial devices (Intel and Google have been talking about it for a while). Can you even get Firefox or Chrome? Or are you stuck with the Android webkit browser?
I am still wondering how Android compares to Ubuntu. Obviously one is designed for phones and the other designed for computers. Plus Ubuntu does have apps, altho not many, you do get all the essentials like openoffice and firefox, unlike Android x86.

Tak, the Amazon market works with this build and I think I remember using Opera...didn't do too much else with it yet... |

I don't know how current that puppeee is. I run an earlier beta puppeee, with a very fast, very stripped kernel, but obviously missing some modules. Let me know if you need that.

| I found puppeee 1.0 the other day and am trying it out now. It seems to work okay for the moment. Thanks!

| It may seem crazy but the x86 linux build is a lot faster than puppeee...I can't wait for the full version to be released. |

| I'm not familiar with x86, but it sounds promising. I'll probably stick with puppy, though--22-second cold boot and the OS stored in RAM, that's hard to beat.
