| Okay, a thread for those of us who come to HPC Factor to help, check in, find help, or just say hi... open to anyone to just say howdy or whatever. Sorry, but I hate it when I stop by and see no new activity on the site. At times there are 60+ being quiet. HELLO!!!

| One of the many things I enjoy about this forum is its gracious ability to broaden its scope. For instance, this is a good place to come for info on Android tablets and Linux-driven netbooks/HPCs. True, the people who have taken on these machines are few in number, but everybody else has been really good about the transition. No flaming or other such ridiculousness.
Since I own a WinMo phone, I've even searched here for PPC stuff and no one's gotten righteous. My attended forums are all technical, and believe me, other sites aren't nearly as flexible.
I even see c:amie amassing a collection of linux handhelds and fixing all things bluetooth Well, okay, maybe not that, but I've come here for icons to Win95 help and have always found it.

| I also appreciate the openness to various devices here, including the new stuff. To me it's all closely enough related in concept, though the really strong point of HPCs for me is to be able to save stuff off the web. I don't know if the iPod Touch for example can save images and text files copied/pasted from say a news article? I'm constantly saving articles, pics and some webpages on the old HPCs, to SD and CF cards. That's another thing...CF cards...I've never gotten tired of that medium, and my HPCs keep on ticking, so it all works out well for me. I still await a new version of Windows CE, whatever happened to Windows Embedded Compact 7? |

| Hi
Still sticking around for two reasons: one try to give back by helping, two still waiting for that perfect device to come out.
I am a strong believer that CE has the potential to run a computer that can do all the basic web and local apps that most people need. WP7 has already proven that, except the hardware is not in the correct form factor. |

| Well, the text you type to get it is the word "cower" surrounded by colons. Guess that was the only way to symbolize cowering showing only a face. |
