| That is a very good question, and one I must write an answer too formally somewhere.
The (!) means it's a new thread since you last logged in
The (!) means it's a new thread since you last logged in and has become a 'hot topic'
The (MB) means that is is a open thread
The (MB) that it is a 'hot topic'
The (/) menas that it is closed
The (/) that it is closed and was a 'hot topic' |

| Um, you may have to re-write that as all of the "symbols" in your post came up twice as text-only; the descriptions were different, but the symbols were the same! |

| They were meant to be text only. |

| So how are we meant to understand the difference between "(MB)" and "(MB)"?
Does the first "(MB)" mean the silver version and the second the gold version, or vice-versa? |

| Ah, it's my crappy cell phone that's causing confusion.
I appreciate being able to access the "full" Internet anywhere, but it's a real pain in the ass typing in forums, and the small screen makes it difficult to follow discussions...
But, if all goes to plan, I will be accessing the "full" Internet in about a month with a REAL keyboard and a REAL screen on a device commonly referred to as a Handheld PC Pro!
And boy will I be thankful... |

| I wanted a Jornada 820 so badly when they came out, but couldn't afford the ridiculous price tag that HP were asking... You could nearly buy a laptop for the Jornada 820's asking price (which I sincerely believe is the primary reason it did so badly...)!
It's a shame, 'cause if the price was right, the Handheld PC could have given laptops a real run for their money... |
