What I meant was that as currently fairly recent platforms transition into vintage, HPC: Factor could take up support for them. Pocket PC could be next up, than smartphones etc.
Perhaps you're right, but I think due to the mega-hit of the HTC HD2, we may see Windows Mobile stuff for a while now, especially with the XDA forums.. |

| This site was written for H/PC devices, the databases are for H/PC devices, containing content on H/PC devices and the support section contains document for the H/PC. I would not want to retool any of these at any point in the future to support any other device type. |

| I think there should be a forum for PSPC and one for PPC. Why not? This is the only useable Windows CE forum left. The Pocket PC FAQ Forum is dying a slow horrible death from cyberterroists. All other former Pocket PC forums are only about Windows Mobile phones
> This would not include Pocket PC 2000, 2002, 2003, 2003 SE
IMO those should have seperate forums, just like HPC pro and HPC 2000, and I wouldn't bother with phones or anything after CE 3.0, because that's all so well supported already.
Why don't you want to support PPC 2000 or 2002? |

| Simply because by market cap the PPC has too broad a user base, so as with every other H/PC support site in history the PPC user base would quickly swamp the site with their own needs drowning out what we do here so well already. I have no specialism or interest in PPC either, so as the man said -- stick to the knitting. |

| If there were any other PPC forums, I'd agree, but there are'nt any. We need one. |

| It hadn't occurred to me that a PPC section would overwhelm the other areas of the forum. Since I don't own one and don't take them seriously, I would've thought said section would die from loneliness rather than grow monstrous.
But C:Amie's warning makes new sense to me.

| Questions vs Answers
Im sure a few folk here with know how are willing to try things, were on most of those forums it's a question : can i do this? No... extended it would be no, because that all i know and i just got this little thing because it was cool, and or the company thought it was a good idea at the time.

| I think we should really refrain from discussing about PPC forum in this thread. If this goes on we need a separate thread. I only mentioned it in a comparison to PSPC forum, and in reply to an earlier post that brought it up.
Let's stick to PSPC in this thread |

| We can see how much attention it would get for 6 months and decide to keep/remove it. |

| I know the thread is getting quite old now, but I thought perhaps the subject could be revisited. I do like the idea of a Palm sized PC forum section--albeit perhaps a general one-off section. I.e. they're not split into CE 2.0/CE 2.1 based platforms--just a unified section. I am of course not a staff member here haha, but I'm just thinking of suggestions that of course don't have to be followed. |

| I still say that's what Off Topic is for - and I say that even though I acquired yet another Palm-size PC today (Uniden UniPro ). |

| Weird how more than a month has gone by and I can't see much of a difference to the site. Maybe you weren't planning any changes no matter what our thoughts were, or you were solely interested in an opinion from the community. I don't know... |

| I never figured you for a bronie Paspie... :/
On a side note, I voted "no" on mistake. I think having a section like this would be a good idea. However, I wouldn't want it detracting from HPC's and HPC discussion. |

| My question is would the Palm-size unit area be limited to Palm-sized pcs, or would they include pocketpcs? Is there a difference technically?
Or is it just general acceptance that there is some cutt-off where one ended and the other began? |
