| If you had a supercomputer at your house, what would you use it for?
For me, I will basically use the power to analyse twitter, google+, and facebook feeds, and make a prediction engine.
Any ideas or thoughts are welcome |

| Serious or joking?
Serious answer: I would define what I wanted for an application, and then have the super computer write the application in Windows CE for me...
Joking answer: Have it run a holodeck for me...a small tropical island filled with naked willing women... |

| I would run BitCoin miner on it and try to write a program that would emulate the work of men's brain. |

I'm new about BitCoin miner, and don't know much, but emulating the work of men's brain is a good idea. |

This.
I can think of another use, but I probably shouldn't write what here. |

| You mean using BitCoin to emulate the work of women's brains with aim of discovering if they can indeed be explaiend by rational (or irrational) sicence? |

| Making it do the work of a man's brain would be easy. (Just program it with data about sex. ) A woman's mind would require it to spontaneously reflash itself at random intervals to reflect repeated changes of mind. |

| If I had a supercomputer, I'd sell it to get anything else I would want. So that is: a new camcorder and smartphone (my Galaxy S2's wireless communications are failing after just half a month) and an upgraded hifi. |

The assertion was that you had supercomputer in your house not assuming you own it. |

SETI (and the residual heat can warm the basement (winter's coming ) ). |

| Thecatmilton, all you need to run the Minecraft server is the system requirements on the website. Having any more is overkill, and wouldn't affect how smoothly it worked because the factor determining that is connection speed. Not that it matters, but the computer I use for that Minecraft server has double the RAM, a 33% faster CPU, and a 7200 RPM drive now, so it isn't a complete slug anymore. |
