I have been having trouble connecting between the Emulators (Pocket PC 2002 & 2003), Smartphone 2002 & 2003) and EVC 3 & 4 using TCP/IP. I realised that I my laptop was not "connected" in anyway. As soon as I connected to my network again, communication was possible again.

Anyone else made this mistake?

I assume you're using Win2k or earlier?

You can get around it by installing the MS Loopback adaptor, but you don't need to do this on WinXP as 127.0.0.1 is still pingable without a TCP/IP connection.

But yes, I have made this mistake on Win2k

To install the MS loopback adaptor, go to networks from control panel on Win2K or NT.

Cheers,
Nick.

Thanks for your reply. I am using Windows XP - and that makes what I have been saying sound a little strange!!

But as sure as sure, I plug my laptop up to a wireless network and I have connectivity with the emulators. Unplug and EVC just sits there "Connecting....".
