Went for a routine doctor's visit today...she made me a follow-up appointment for 4 months from now and said, "Before I see you next time, I want you to lose 20 pounds."

What kind of thing is that to say to a man the day before Thanksgiving....

I know I do need to lose weight however....standing naked and looking down, trying to see my toes, it is like looking at the horizon on the moon...all I can see is the curve....

That looks like a shot from my first colonoscopy last year.

Wait until you turn 50, Yoldering - then you'll get to deal with niceties like that too.

And wait until you are 60...and realize that you are looking at the sales prices for adult diapers...that's an eye opener for sure!

Anyways, I'm not quite there yet...but maybe one day....

Also I went to our local small town resturant today and they had a turkey-day buffet for $9...all you can eat. I got my moneys worth....turkey, ham, mashed taters, sweet potatoes, dressing, gravy, biscuits, corn on the cob...and after scoffing down two or three plates of that I also had desert...cherry pie, strawberry cream pie, pecan pie, (I skipped the pumkin pie, don't care for that), and apple pie...3 slices of that.

Got back in the old LeSabre and crept home with the wife and mama...all of us moaning and groaning about how we overate.

Ten minutes after getting home I was in the recliner, tilted back, and passed out...probably hyperglycemic...

Damn good thing I only do this once a year...six pieces of pie...gluttony first class.

I always try to have only one main course plate at a buffet... Emphasis on the word "try".

I used to eat like that, but not these days - high cholesterol has seen to that. Now my wife chides me for not eating enough.
