Is there a way to search on Google, or any other search engine for that matter, to limit results to posts of a certain time period?

In other words, is there a way to show only results from....say posts made after 2009?

Yes you can.

Search something, on the top of the search results, there is Search tools. Click that, then under Any time there's Custom range.

I think you can search "forum name keywords" and use the custom range and it will show you posts from certain time period.

Ahhh, that worked...I never thought of using the menus...

It absolutely helps to limit the time frame to narrow results. Wish there were some simple way to set inclusive dates within the search window itself...
