Err, no!
The (EX ) London Transport Rolling stock (1938 stock ) are known as dinosaurs, because of their age, Some were built in the period of 1938 - 1940 for various London Underground lines. (now kown as Class 483s ). Most now have the Dinosaur (Spelling? ) livery with names of the breeds of dinosaurs, 2 have been repainted into the LT livery.
But no, thats where the insparation came from, but I called it Dino for the same reason! Its age! I think the MP is between 5-6 years old, the iPaq is 3 and the Palm V x is around the same age as the MP. Now, lets see, what shall I call the other 2? The laptop should be called "Uncle cracker" (Cracks on the screen ), the iPAQ a silver wonderer (goes everywhere ) and the Vx? How about Hanger lane? (because it hangs off my neck! )
Your suggestions? |

| My 900C has two names.
When it is working properly, its name is Baby. For instance, my wife has heard me say, "Okay Baby, do your stuff...good Baby!"
The other name is what I call it when it acts up, "You dirty *^&%@!!#$$%$%^ piece of *)(()(*)_)_&^^&)*)(*!!!!!!!!"

Sorry! It was funny!! I don't loose my rag often, but all my computers aren't given names, unless they blow and err... the windows stress detector kicks in. Usually happens when I am short on time. Then my fuse gets hot! Then I end up calling them "B%£"^DY THINGS!!!" (Typically British! ) and the POS'es (unrepeatable here ).
So "Snappy", I am just as snappy as you are with your comptuers! (Or did I take that a little too far? ) |

Come now Snappy.... you can't tell me you have never called "spoken in tongues" to your device!
My gosh, Boris (my J720 ) and Piddle (my, erm P/PC ) have both been verbally abused when they act stupid.
Now throwing them or hitting them.... the thought has occurred until I remember the $$$'s involved. |

Chuck them on your bed then!!! Just try it with something else first!! (Not a ball! ). If you must, take out your energy on a pillow.
[qoute] (tell that to my external hdd ) [/qoute]
LOL!!! Does it still work, or do you have about 30gigs (assumption ) lost in bad, un-usable and unrecoverable bad sectors?
(I have dropped my portable external 20gig laptop HDD twice soo far though, incidently! ) |

| I've (*tough wood* ) not dropped a H/PC yet.
I had a laptop go flying once, it was running in the open case and the strap got caught around the chair leg, pulled the chair out and it went flying. Total write off - fragged.
Unlike you lot though, I don't swear at ladies
I just cry |

| My first HPC was an Aero 8000 and I named it Aerolicious. I kind of followed suit with the rest of my HPCs and PDAs...
Casio E-125 - Casiolicious
Ipaq 2215 - Ipaqalicious
MobilePro 790 - Mobilicious
Do I need therapy?
