I use my Compaq C120 for taking notes and working on a novel I'm writing.

I know a couple of authors who are well published who still use thier NEC Mobilepros for their writing...Laura Underwood and Robert Sawyer...have you finished your first novel yet Mark?

I don't see how you have time when you are busy playing the Ukulele all the time.

Nice to hear from you again, wally.

I'm not convinced that H/PCs are continuing to fall in value - I'm noticing a rise in selling prices on eBay lately, at least here in the US, particularly for HP units like the 620LX and the Jornada 720. I admit, though, that lately I've been using only my CE 5 and newer devices, though they do still get plenty of use. I use a CE 5 or 6 or WEC 7 netbook for notetaking and putting together meeting agendas at work, and I've even used them for working on my campaigns for the California Legislature. (I'm running for the third time this year, and if I ever get to the State Capitol, I'll be bringing my CE devices with me. )

Maybe you could pass some sort of legislative tax break for CE owners...that would promote the OS!

It's going slow, I tend to get bogged down in sorting technical details within the world of the story rather than actually writing the story.

And I have lots of time, haha I'm not at uni any more and while I still play the ukulele I do some stuff on the guitar too, so my time is generally divided between writing, musicing, and playing Minecraft. Oh, and looking for work

I sometimes use H/PC (MP400) as a material for writing an article about H/PC on a blog I write with a friend of mine about old / slightly old computers.

Updated H/PC information are getting scarce, so I guess that's fun.
