have anyone been able to connect their mail to nPOP or QMAIL or any other mail program to hotmail/outlook etc? (pop3)

I have tried with these settings from microsoft.com

Incoming serveradress (POP3): pop-mail.outlook.com
Port: 995
SSL-encrypting

outgoing serveradress(SMTP): smtp-mail.outlook.com
Port: 25 or 587
authentication: Yes
SSL-encrypting

In nPOP i getting SSL error: verify failed of SSL, unable to get local issuer certificat (20)
i do have the SSL DLLs for nPOP "NPOPSSL" and "SSLEAY32"

And in QMAIL i get these errors : pop3 error 0x06080100). error occured while greeting. failed to reciev. recv. connection timed out
And also here i got "LIBEAY32" and "SSLEAY32"

So what can i do? is this mail thingy outdated so we cant use it anymore or what? i do have activated pop3 on my outlook account!

Well, it means what it says.

Root certificates get discarded and updated, you might need new root certificates.

I am not familiar with this applications but can you disable SSL to see if it works?

You need to make sure that nPOP has access to the Trusted Root Certificate associated with your ISP's SSL certificate.

I got nPOP to recieve new mails etc, but i cant send any mails with it.

And it seams that QMAIL cant handle the SSL files i have, i know i have the right ones, but still it says "failed to initialize SSL (both smtp and pop3)
I rather use QMAIL since that one looks better?
