not enough memory for spell check?

Hi all,

I have a new Psion Netbook Pro with hardly anything on it, but I did put on the HPC2000 Office package from Cmonex. Seems to work fine, except when I try the spell check, where it tells me "There is not enough memory. CLose other applications or documents and try the operation again?"

I assume this is a bug from the HPC2000 files being used where they weren't intended?

Any help appreciated!

Thanks,
Vance

Thanks, Rich. I'll look into that.

I wish one could still buy older versions of Textmaker. The new one is pretty chuggy on my NBP, and the cursor does a weird double-image thing when typing. TM2002 doesn't do that. I wonder if TM2006 did...

It used to be that SoftMaker would sell the older versions of their products on request, but I'm not sure if they're still doing that. You could contact them through their website and ask; they respond to email pretty quickly.

They even sold TextMaker 2002 on eBay for 15 USD at one point back in 2007. That's where I got mine.

Can't do that unless I surrender the user license to you, meaning I'd have to uninstall it. I gotta play by the rules.

You know, Usedhandhelds.com used to sell their CD that included a full version of Textmaker 2002 on it. Only had the ARM version...but that's what you need.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/The-Great-Handheld-PC-Software-Resource-CD-2007-/370251047831?pt=US_Wholesale_Software&hash=item5634aea397#ht_747wt_916

They sell it on eBay now. Here is the link that describes the CD

That's a pretty good buy too, cuz among other things it also includes Odyssey Software's Pocket On-Schedule, probably the best PIM suite out there, which was retailing for $70 all by itself from the developer. (It also includes Phatware's HPC Spell, which may also address your original need.)
