mobile pro 780- internet connection- confused

Please help am confused. i had pc internet connection with cable modem. How do I connect internet to Mobile pro 780? I know i need networking device if i want to use both pc and pda. What if i want to use just pda alone for internet? what device i need any suggestion greately appreciated.

You're going to need either a wired or wireless solution (duh) - a 16 bit PCMCIA 802.11b card might be a good option, check the HCL for your options. Obviously you would need a wireless router in order to use said wireless adapter in your 780.

Your other main option would be a wired network card, which again you should check the HCL for. Both wired and wireless options can be obtained easily (and on the cheap) from eBay or the like.

Thanks a lot corporate for your suggestion. another thigns is it hub or duh? what hcl mean. Is it handheld computer link?. another things if i get wireless router would that work well withou 16 bit pcmcia. In refer to hub , do u need seperate ip address from isp which will be extra charge?

please clarify that : I can either use one of these as follow to connect internet to 780.

1. wireless/wired hub
2. 16 bit pcmcia card 802.1lb
3. wireless router for 280 adapter
or wireless network card.
do I need all of these just 1, which one?

you need a wifi card (either PCMCIA 16 bit or CF card) and a wireless router. that's all.

THanks a lot for your suggestion. Just one more question. i checked my pda 780 lan card. it has two network adapter. nec 2000 and proxim. do i need still wifi card 0r pcm card? can i use Just wireless router. can u please any one suggest wireless router for 780 mobile pro.

the adapters aren't built-in physically, you see just some drivers there..
ne2000 isn't even wlan, just a lan driver.. so you still need to buy a suitable wlan card.
every wireless router will work fine

er.. You mean every 802.11b/g router.
802.11a or 802.11m/n will cause a little problem

lol if you can get a m/n router easily.. i didn't even hear of them
