Change partnership name?

Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere. I searched on every permutation of keywords I could imagine and didn't find an answer.

I'm running a MobilePro 780 connecting to AS 3.8.

Is it possible to rename a partnership? I've looked and can't find a simple method.

I've tried deleting and creating a new partnership, but AS outsmarts me and just assigns the old partnership name without asking.

Thinking I could purge some settings file or registry entry, I've uninstalled and reinstalled AS, but it's still too clever for me. A fresh copy knows about the old partnership name, too.

Frustrating.

Follow this through to change the computer name

Then delete the partnership on the ActiveSync PC, and sync again. It will create a new one under the name you specify as the Computer Name.

Well, that was easy.
